WPGI Womens Esports League (an Australian Esports Media Group company) today announces first female international tournament qualifier of 2017 in cooperation with Copenhagen Games. The qualifier, dedicated to providing opportunity to the highest echelon of female players in the region and will take place on March 12, 2017.
The winner of the Oceanic Qualifier will receive an invitation to the main event at Øksnehallen, Copenhagen on April 12th-15th.
For the winning team WPGI will be contributing up to 50% of player international flights (approx. $5,000) with Copenhagen Games to provide guided tours of the city and covering tournament entry fees and PC hire for all 5 players. The value of the female Oceanic Qualifier prize pool is approximately $10,000AUD enabling players to compete at the main event on April 12th-15th, 2017, for a record $20,000AUD. This unprecedented Copenhagen Games package is valued at $30,000AUD.
Copenhagen Games is a BYOC LAN tournament featuring players and teams from around the world. As usual, the event will take place at Øksnehallen in the heart of Copenhagen. The tournament is held by SLAP in cooperation with the Copenhagen Multiplicity
