Proud to announce Gigabyte and AORUS are now sponsors of our LAN event in Sydney!
I will be contacting team captains and will send them Paypal or Bank Account details, as per whatever is necessary.
big if true
Bingo Bango Bosh
March 11 and 12th (Two days), but if you don't qualify beyond semifinals you're not needed to play on the second day, only to come watch, eat and yell explicits as you drink alcohol (except you polom LMAO)
Will be a 16 team LAN - so get in quick!
Venue will be FBI Gaming Centre
this time NOT Legends. They are located at Level 1, 1 Dixon Street - in the heart of Chinatown. They are accessible via elevator as well. They're setting up a 5 by 5 proper competitive environment with 144Hz screens and a streaming setup, and they also have aircon. So prepare to not down 30 bottles of water in a group stage match that's going to be delayed!
How's it going to work?
On the Saturday, games will start at 10AM for the morning group, and 2PM for the afternoon group (be there about 30-60 minutes before start so you can get setup). These will be Bo1 matches in a round robin format.
Quarterfinals will start at 6PM and will be a Bo3. Teams who lose will be eliminated, teams winning will be invited to come back the next day to fight it out.
Sunday will be similar - 10AM for semifinals, and 2PM for grandfinals.
How much does it cost to enter?
* $125 for an entire team.
Submit your registrations here like this:
Captain (Steam URL)
If you submit a team with "TBD", your spot is also "TBD" and if someone else signs up before you bad luck. In other words, "get 5 cgo" and get it fast
Prize pool and sponsors
Minimum $1600 as the entire prize pool, but this amount will increase as we lock down future details.
Gigabyte and AORUS are our titular sponsors for this event!
Any other rules?
Anyone, even banned players can come compete (though they're not allowed to cheat obviously). The logic here is that if you have the balls to show your face even though you're banned and you can tough out the ridicule, in my eyes you can play at a LAN.
Don't do anything stupid like bash people etc, treat the equipment with respect, make sure if you have drivers (roccat.exe) bring them on a USB with you. If you can't afford a USB, go to your local officeworks and buy a $8 USB. If you can't afford that, how can you afford a $25 entry fee
Teams are not allowed to have more than core 3 from any Div 1 quality roster. Rule of thumb - if you are around top 10 in Oceania, don't bring more than 3 of your roster in the same team.
If you're late, bad luck should have been born Sonic the hedgehog - that said put your team down, I will attempt to slot any team that signs up into the next LAN I host.
If you want to aimprac and delay starting times, you can forfeit the first map. TL;DR if your PC isn't having issues, get in the server and start on time before I rip new cavities in people. If your PC IS having issues, notify an admin as soon as possible.
