Hi guys, our local Uni holds a LAN annually run by NUAC, the Newcastle University Anime Club, this year it's on the 18th September to the 20th of September.

Despite the cheesy anime, the event is a hell a lot of fun! It's not your expected competitive environment, and @SkitzDyl usually rocks up with his boys and cleans up, but nonetheless it's a really friendly and fun environment.

For $60 you can grab a ticket, it's a 2-night event featuring multiple tournaments for games such as Hearthstone, CS:GO, League of Faggots, Super Smash Bros, Tetris etc.
Food is provided, and you can even purchase alcohol and get fucking maggot

TL;DR;
- Fun as hell friendly LAN in Newcastle.
- Cost: $60 for non students/members
- Food covered, with bar
- 2 night event
- Multiple tournaments and games
- Prizes included, such as mouses, routers, steam vouchers and plenty more.

Any questions just post on the facebook page or I can tell you from my experience last year :)

They haven't announced how prizes are working this year, but there have been cash prizes in the past, however most prizes are usually peripherals. And yeah, it's mostly casual, most teams are just mates who wanna have a go.
